In the shadow of a grand cliff, the only light is that shed by ice as it exchanges heat with the surrounding air. Normal torchlight and light-producing spells have their effectiveness extremely reduced, and one’s ascent must be guided only by the steely-gray shimmering of icicles and frost-clumps.
