The walls of this circular pit are rough yet abrupt. The bottom is hidden in the dark. Gravel from the edge thrown in makes no sound. There is a slow drizzle of water that cascades from the edges inward, splattering the sides but inevitably finding its way to the bottom.

Stairs ring the circumference round, jutting from the rock like teeth. They are wet and slippery. The wind from below howls.
