Arborous cascade of close-clustered and thick-trunked trees. A wily visitor came to this land long ago with a haughty mein and a pendant shaped like a sphere of three lobes. It is said that from the visitor’s tracks wafted a white fog that persists here to the present, that now saturates the air like heavy paint, that flows through the bodies of air-breathers and back out again, marking them, differentiating them. The mist occasionally dissipates completely for weeks at a time, but always returns, usually more abundant and denser than before.
