A realm of mud. Wide columar tubes of mud wound tight into a lattice-plain that seems like it may have harbored great diversity of life at one point–fragments of bark, a ravel of bone, twists of dried root sprouting up from the mud like worms–but now there are only tied-together snakes of mud. What passes for terrain is mere texture: scales give way to moistnesses give way to mawpits give way to fanglike towers of mud. The air is permanently humid, the sky forever drizzling.
