The Glacier of Spheres

Region:
The Beckoning
Type:
Zone

It is suspected that the composition of this vast ice shelf is not true water, but a superficially similar substance whose thermodynamic properties are quite different. Most notably, it freezes into small, incompressible spheres rather than one solid mass. Second, it resists melting even in extremely highly energetic circumstances. Third, on nights of the aurora the spheres “flow” according to an unknown force.
